How do I book a class?
Most of our bookings are done through MindBody. If you don't already have an account with MindBody, you can set one up for FREE and then book classes at stRIDE. You can download the stRIDE Studio app from the app store and login there with your MindBody info to see all of our class times. We are also available on ClassPass and through GymPass (ask your employer!)
What does it mean if I'm on a waitlist?
If the class you want is full but you join the waitlist for that class, you will get notified via email or text when a spot opens up and you have been moved into the class. (*Please make sure you select email AND text notifications in your MindBody preferences!) If you DO NOT get in to the class from the waitlist, you will NOT be charged for the class. If you DO get in and do not show up, you WILL be charged for the missed class (see "cancellation policy", below.) If you are moved into the class from the waitlist and cannot attend, please call us (610-731-1174) or email us (firstname.lastname@example.org) and we can take you out so we can notify the next person in line. Similarly, if after joining a waitlist you realize that you can't attend that class time, please REMOVE yourself from the waitlist to let other clients have a chance to attend.
What is stRIDE's cancellation policy?
stRIDE has an eight (8) hour cancellation policy. If you cancel your scheduled class less than eight hours (8) before the start time, you will be charged for the class. If you have a daily/weekly/monthly unlimited package or are on a 3-, 6- or 12-month autopay system, you will be charged a drop-in rate ($18). If you have a 5/10/15/20 class card or purchased a drop-in class, the missed class will be deducted from your package. If you think you have been charged in error or if you forgot to "check-in" for your class, please don't hesitate to email us at and we are happy to look into any discrepancies for you.
If you sign up for a 3-, 6- or 12-month auto-pay contract and need to terminate that contract more than 30 days prior to the contract end date, we will terminate your contract immediately but you will incur a penalty equal to 1 month's payment. What happens if stRIDE has to cancel a class or close due to weather?
Regrettably, sometimes instructors get sick and we have to cancel a class or close the studio due to inclement weather. In the case of a class cancellation, participants will be notified directly via email and no classes will be deducted from those clients' packages. In the case of studio closure, a general email will be sent out in addition to social media posts on Facebook and Instagram.
I've never taken a spin class before. Can I still come to stRIDE?
Absolutely! Our front desk staff and our instructors are there to make you feel welcome and comfortable, no matter your experience level. Anyone at the studio can help you set up your bike and get you situated for your class - just let us know that you need some assistance and we'll help with whatever you need. Our instructors are very familiar with first time jitters - everyone has had a day one! - and they are more than willing to make you feel comfortable.
Do I need spin shoes to take a spin class?
We recommend spin shoes, but you can ride in sneakers. Spin shoes have a firmer footbed and make the standing portions of the class (which is a LOT!) more comfortable for you as a rider. *If you want to buy spin shoes, we recommend Bon Trager spin shoes which can be purchased at Bike Sport in Collegeville, PA. If you tell them you spin at stRIDE and buy shoes, clips and get the clips installed by them on the spot, you'll receive $20 off your shoe purchase!
What type of clips do your bikes take?
Our bikes use SPD clips exclusively.
Is spin safe and appropriate for kids?
Our bikes fit people taller than 4'10" and we require that everyone be older than 14 years old. We also require a signed waiver from every participant - this waiver is available as part of your MindBody registration. *Please note that some music played at stRIDE may contain explicit lyrics.
Can I host a party or a group team-building event at stRIDE?
Of course! We love to host parties at stRIDE! You can rent out the spin room, the fitness room, or both (!) for whatever event you have in mind. We typically offer a 2-hour event, including instructor of your choice to lead the workout, balloons, and a champagne toast. Email us to set something up!
