How To Be A Morning Person

Everyone has said at one point in their life that they wanted to become a morning person. This is a task that is much easier said than done because after a while it gets tiring, trust us we get it. Mornings are the best part of the day, it is a time to take for yourself and a time to plan out how you are going to crush the day. We wanted to give a few of our favorite tips on how we learned how to get up early AF no problem.

 

Practice

With anything, practice makes perfect. The same goes with wanting to wake up earlier, no one is just going to wake up two hours earlier than normal and feel great automatically. There will be mornings you are so tired you can’t even stand but I PROMISE you will survive the day. Remember, it takes 21 days to break a habit so do not give up on yourself and power through the first month of your new routine, every morning will start to get easier.

 

Go To Bed Earlier

This one may seem very self-explanatory but people always tend to forget that if you go to bed earlier, odds are you will wake up earlier. A lot of people say they have trouble falling asleep, try staying off your phone at least thirty minutes before you fall asleep, reading a book before you go to bed, or taking a supplement to help you sleep (a fan favorite is a magnesium & I mix it with collagen).

 

Leave Your Blinds Open

This one has been a GAME CHANGER. Waking up to natural lighting is SO helpful when it comes to getting out of bed in the morning. This is especially helpful during the summer because the sun is usually starting to come up when you are getting ready to wake up. Even leaving the blinds half open if you want a little more privacy, just making any change to allow natural lighting in your room will significantly improve your motivation to get out of bed.

 

Get Moving QUICK

Waking up early is hard but actually getting out of bed to start the day is even harder. It is always so tempting to turn off your alarm and lay in your bed for thirty minutes catching up on all your social media, do not worry we have all done it. Once the alarm goes off make it a priority to get right out of bed if this is a struggle set your phone on a nightstand or somewhere far enough that you have to actually get out of bed to turn the alarm off. This will get the hardest part of waking up out of the way, then you have no choice but to stay up and tackle your day!

 

Find What Makes You Get Out Of Bed

Everyone wants to become a morning person for a reason, there is always a reason that you want to get out of bed a little earlier. Find what makes you want to get out of bed in the morning, whether it is your job, working on your side hustle, breakfast, or maybe some extra me time. What gets us out of bed is working out, we love the community and instructors within our classes and cannot wait to get out of bed every morning to sweat with you all. Find the passion that makes you get out of bed in the morning and watch yourself become to the ultimate morning person.

 

Now, this means we will see you at our 5:45 classes now, right? Looking forward to seeing our early morning stRIDERS on August 4th (but do not worry, we still have so much love for our evening stRIDERS).
