If there is one thing in this world that most of us absolutely cannot live without, it is coffee. Drinking coffee is literally essential to most of our everyday lives (especially to our ladies who take our 5:45 am classes). Honestly, coffee is not bad for you, it actually really helps post-workout pain and is full of fiber BUT the issue is what people are putting into their coffee. We are talking about the heavy cream, sugar, and sweeteners that are not the best for our bodies (especially after you just spent the last 45 minutes killing it in your spin class). Luckily, stRIDE is filled with a ton of brilliant instructors and clients who have found hacks to enjoying your morning brew while keeping it healthy!
We wanted to share our favorite coffee recipes that will give you the caffeine you need to kill it on the pilates reformer while not killing your sugar intake.
Tori’s Favorite Recipe:
Tori start by always brewing her coffee the night before and leaving it in her refrigerator overnight.
In the morning Tori puts her coffee and the following ingredients in the blender:
Any kind of coffee
2 scoops of collagen peptides
A few splashes of coconut milk
1 tsp of brain octane oil
1 tbsp of MCT oil
She blends this on high for about two minutes until the coffee gets nice and frothy. She loves this brew because it keeps her super full and even uses it as a clean version of pre workout because there is no added sugar!
Rachel’s Favorite Recipe:
Rachel puts the following ingredients in her blender:
10 oz of hot coffee (any kind)
2 tbsp of coconut oil
½ scoop of Vega vanilla protein powder
⅓ cup of vanilla sugar-free hemp milk (sometimes substituted for almond milk)
1 tbsp of ground ginger (the fresh tube from Trader Joes)
Then blend until frothy! After, she adds cinnamon on top! Swear it tastes better than a Starbucks latte.

Protein Iced Mocha
Tall Iced Americano
1 pump of skinny mocha
3 pumps of sugar-free vanilla syrup
2 scoops of protein
Splash of almond milk (or milk of your choosing)
Ask them to shake it without ice!!!!
